The Leisure World Garden Club was founded in 1964. We are a non-profit corporation with approximately 185 active members. The annual membership fee is $10.
During the meetings we have guest speakers, door prizes, and fifty-fifty drawings.
The Tours Committee provides several opportunity each year to enjoy trips to various venues.
| The Garden Club is a major supporter of We Care. We Care of Los Alamitos is a family support center and safety net program that pools community resources to meet the emergency needs of families and individuals. Each month we encourage our members to donate non-perishable food items at our monthly meetings. These donations are gathered by our We Care volunteers and transported to the We Care food pantry. Personal toiletry items, clothes, and cash donations are also accepted. |  |
Before and after the meeting a plant table is available for the purchase of potted plants and cuttings at a nominal charge.
Coffee, tea, and cookies are provided after the meeting for the enjoyment of our members and guests. We encourage everyone to stay awhile and enjoy the company of other gardeners.
We always enjoy meeting our Leisure World neighbors. We hope you will attend one of our meetings as our guest.
