The 4th KAC Annual Concert – Concert handout
The Korean American Chorale (KAC) is presenting the 4th Annual Concert at Clubhouse 2 on Wednesday September 21, 2016 at 5:00 PM. The Korean American Chorale of Leisure World is striving to promote fellowship not only among fellow Korean Americans, but also between other international groups. The KAC is to accomplish this objective by singing traditional and contemporary songs from a diverse selection of countries including Korea and America and our repertoire also includes spiritual music. In addition to the annual concert, it performs at community cultural events and charitable functions by invitation. Its aim is to contribute to cultural betterment of our community and to volunteer for community services. You all are invited to the concert.
The program includes:
Conductor: Rev. Kyoung Whan Paik
Pianist: Sung Ae Ra
Chorus:
- Vivaldi “Gloria” and 3 other sacred music
- 4 pieces of Korean popular folk songs
- 4 pieces of American and Italian folk songs including “Funiculi Funicula”
Special performances:
- Arias form Opera Tosca; Visi D’arte, Visi D’armore and Korean songs Soprano Gloria Ahn, Master of Music, New York Manhattan School of Music, Doctor of Music, UCLA
- Arias from opera Turandot; Nessun Dorma etc, and Korean songs Tenor Wi Young Oh, Chongshin University and World Mission University
- Soprano and Tenor Duet; Brindisi from opera La Traviata
- Clarinet Solo: Rev. Min Joo Ra
