Letters to the Editor Editor: A very special thank you to the Golden Rain Foundation for allowing me to bring the film “The Chosen” and renowned directorJeremy Kagan to Leisure World on June 5.

And thanks to Leah Perrotti. Without her help, we would not have reached the amount of people we did. Cathie Merz and Kathy Thayer are simply the best. We had a huge turnout and I could not have done it without you.

The movie was captivating and having the director there to talk before and after the film was the highlight of the day. Also to all those who wrote, called, or told me what an extraordinarily special day it was.

Editor:

Recently, my auto registration sticker was stolen from my license plate. It was discovered by a security person who was very kind in helping me with information in securing a new one.

She told me something that a lot of people do not know: when you put the sticker on, score it with a razor blade.

I belong to several clubs in Leisure World and other members I talked to were surprised that could deter a theft.

On behalf of the Mutual 6 decorating committee and the board of directors, Susan Hopewell, Mutual 6 director, thanks Selvin De Leon, and Victor Solares of Innovative Cleaning Service and Roberto Palma, Clubhouse 4 custodian, for quickly and efficiently changing the long tables set up in Clubhouse 4 for a dinner dance. When Hopewell and others arrived to decorate Clubhouse 1, the room was filled with long tables and the tablecloths and decorations were for round ones. The men worked hard to fix the problem.
