Holy Family
Flower Guild members, guests visit Reagan Library
Members and friends of the Little Flower Guild of Holy Family Church ventured to the Reagan Library to see the Vatican Exhibit on July 19.
“I have to say, it was a wonderful trip,” said Elizabeth Retterath. “We had a full bus, 50 people, including Fr. James Hartnett , pastor emeritus of Holy Family, and Fr. Juan Cababoy, current pastor.
The exhibit was every bit as good as advertised. Most of the objects, obviously could not be touched, but pictures could be taken and were. The group spent three hours at the museum and could have spent longer.
The trip was put together by Jean Sudbeck, who is an experienced tour guide. She had several assistants help her, since putting this type of trip together is a big project.
On the way home, they watched a video of Ronald Reagan telling stories he was famous for.
All in all, it was a good time and a worthwhile trip.

Trip set to San Manuel Casino
The St. Jude Support Group will sponsor a day-trip to San Manuel Bingo and Casino in Highland on Tuesday, Aug. 9. All LWers and their guests are invited.
The cost of the trip is $15 and includes $10 back from the casino for food or gaming. The bus will leave from Clubhouse 4 at 9:30 a.m. Call Aileen Ackerman, 493-6774.
