U.S. senatorial candidates’ reps will be guests
For the first time in over a century, there will be no Republican spot on the fall ballot for the U.S. senatorial race.
Join members of the club at the August meeting and learn more about the two Democratic candidates.
Club members are also invited to be part of the club’s “Bring Your Own Lunch Facilitated Discussions” beginning at 12:15.
Leisure World Democrats are invited to join members for a debate-watching party and potluck on Sept. 26 at 5:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. Come watch Hillary Clinton in action while relaxing with friends over dinner. More details will be forthcoming.
The SBLW Democratic Club hopes that Democrats will not only vote for Clinton when they go to the polls in November, but that they vote all the way down the ticket on local elections and propositions.
The club will review the propositions at the monthly meeting on Sept. 20 in Clubhouse 4, as well as delivering door hangers with voting recommendations to LW Democratic residents as the election approaches.
Those who want to get involved with the Democratic Club to work on getting out the vote should call or email President Mary Larson, 296-8521, lwsbdemocraticclub@gmail.com.
The club will be staffing a campaign office, making phone calls, handling mail outs and walking precincts.
Council meets today, 9 a.m.
All Leisure World members/shareholders/owners are invited to attend the Presidents’ Council meeting today, Aug. 4, at 9 a.m. in Clubhouse 4.
Actual participation will be limited to the presidents and director guests (one per Mutual).
Suggestions for topics for discussion may be submitted to Mutual presidents for consideration.
Directors will plan its agenda on Aug. 9
The Mutual 11 board of directors will meet from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, for an agenda meeting in the Physical Property Conference Room, second floor.
