Don’t have your own plot? No problem!
Everyone is welcome to stroll through and enjoy the sights. You’ll see a wide variety of gardening styles—some simple, some elaborate—and you might even be inspired to strike up a conversation. Many of our gardeners love sharing tips, stories, and a little dirt under the nails with new friends.
Interested in getting more involved? Consider becoming a “Garden Angel”—a helpful neighbor who tends to someone’s plot while they’re away due to illness, travel, or other needs.
Best of all, the garden is right here in your own backyard. No need to hop in the car—you can walk, roll, or ride the LW bus to visit. We can’t wait to see you out there among the sunflowers and snap peas!

I don’t have a spot in the Community Garden. Can I still enjoy the garden?
Yes! The community garden is a great place to take a stroll. You’ll notice a lot of different gardening styles like basic gardens, extravagant gardens and everything in between. Many LW gardeners are happy to share their gardening experiences with other neighbors. New friendships are formed every day!
Do you have a friend or neighbor that has a garden here? Ask them if you can be their “Garden Angel”. A Garden Angel is a shareholder that is allowed to take care of a gardener’s spot if they are unable for some reason i.e. illness, injury, vacation.
Another benefit of having a Community Garden here at LW is you don’t have to get into your car and drive to a garden location. It’s right here in your own backyard. You can drive, walk or even grab the LW bus!
