The Amphitheater stage may be reserved by community clubs and organizations in advance at the Recreation office. A Performing Arts Studio and Video Producers Center are located at the top of the Amphitheater and managed by the LW Theater Club and Video Producers Club under the direction of the Recreation Department.
GRF opened its Aquatic Center in 2022. The facility includes a spacious swimming pool and hot spa for use by authorized residents only (guests are not permitted); shower and dressing rooms, umbrella tables, a chair lift for access to pools, and shaded lounge areas (ADA-compliant chaise lounges are available).
The Bocce Court is located at Clubhouse 2 in Mission Park, adjacent to the multipurpose courts. It is open 7 days a week from 8:00am to 8:00pm. For more information contact the Bocce Ball Club, in the Sports section under Clubs and Organizations.
The Leisure World self-serve car wash is located behind Clubhouse 2 on El Dorado Drive. The facility, which has four bays, uses recycled water in the pressurized hose and city water in the non-pressurized hose. A vacuum is located on the north side of the clubhouse in the rear of the parking lot, closest to the power station wall.
For more than five years, North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE) has provided educational services to Leisure World residents. NOCE offers a full academic emeritus program with accredited faculty and curriculum. Emeritus classes promote lifelong learning by helping residents grow in independence, advocacy, physical and cognitive health, financial literacy, and community engagement.
Leisure World’s five clubhouses are vibrant centers for members of the community to gather, socialize and hold special events.
Community Garden plots located in the northeast corner of LWSB at the 1.8- acre site are available for lease by authorized residents.
A fully equipped gym, newly renovated and expanded, is located on the second floor in Clubhouse 6. The center includes exercise machines, weight training, group exercise rooms and more. The facility has convenient hours for morning, afternoon, and evening workouts. It is open seven days a week and most holidays. It is staffed with attendants to help people safely use the equipment, which is geared for everyone, including those with mobility challenges.
Refrigerated vending machines offer a variety of beverages and pre-prepared sandwiches and salads in the Clubhouse 6 hospitality center.
The 9-Hole golf course is available for use by authorized residents every morning at 7:30am. Closing times will vary according to daylight hours.
The Knowledge and Learning Center is a tech-equipped classroom in Clubhouse 3. The “smart” classroom supports innovation with equipment and education to keep residents connected and engaged. It has more than 30 computer stations and state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment, including assistive listening devices, a “smart” board, and two 80-inch monitors to augment lecture sessions.
The Leisure World Library offers free access to nearly 40,000 items, including books, audiobooks, movies, music, and periodicals. WiFi, computers, printers, and scanners are also available. Dynamic programming includes the annual Authorspeak series featuring popular writers. A GRF ID card is required to check out materials and use other resources.
The LW Minibus service provides clean, safe, and easily accessible shuttles with helpful drivers to make getting around the community an easy experience.

Wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, and other mobility devices are available free for Leisure World residents’ temporary use. Equipment fitting and pickup is available at the Golden Age Foundation office on the first floor of Clubhouse 6 Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 11:00am.
Leisure World’s pharmacy is conveniently located inside the Optum Health Care Center. Residents can have prescriptions delivered or picked up. MedCare Pharmacy also features a market with a rotating selection of cold and hot food items, including soups and salads.
Four pickleball courts and a hitting board are available for resident players.

The Corner Pocket, adjacent to the Game Room in Clubhouse 2, offers six pool tables for resident players and their guests 12 years old and up. The LW Pool Club sponsors weekly games and tournaments for members. Amenities include a sound system, whiteboard, and special seating.
The Clubhouse 2 Game Room provides a variety of fun options for the whole family. Children of all ages, who are accompanied by a resident, are welcome. Bumper Pool, Foosball, Skee-Ball, Air Hockey, and a table arcade with 100-plus Atari games are available. The room is equipped with a sound system as well as a large screen TV.
The U.S. Post Office, Leisure World branch, is in the parking lot northwest of the Amphitheater. The full-service branch offers every service except post office boxes and passport services. The office is wheelchair accessible.
The main Seal Beach branch is located on Westminster Avenue just west of Seal Beach Boulevard.
For the many Leisure World residents who enjoy recreational camping, the community provides a walled, gate-controlled storage lot for over 200 recreational vehicles of all sizes.

The Shuffleboard Courts are an indoor facility at Clubhouse One, adjacent to the picnic grounds. The six lanes are open for play 7 days a week from 8:00am to 10:00pm. The Shuffleboard Club meets inside the clubhouse each second Thursday at 10:00am For more information, see in the Sports section under Clubs and Organizations.
Multiple table tennis tables are available for use by residents and their guests, plus an automatic practice ball machine, table screens to prevent errant balls, and tournament play managed by club members.

Free WiFi hotspots are available at each of the community clubhouses and the LW Library. No password is required. Access the WiFi signal labeled “GRF Guest.” The user will be prompted to accept a terms & service agreement at the bottom of the page before being connected to the internet. The WiFi hotspots have the strongest connections inside buildings, but ranges can extend up to 50 feet from the building perimeter.
