Garden Club

Our Refreshments Committee

The Leisure World Garden Club was founded in 1964. We are a non-profit corporation with approximately 185 active members. The annual membership fee is $10.

 

During the meetings we have guest speakers, door prizes, and fifty-fifty drawings.

 

These beautiful baskets were donated as door prizes by one of our guest speakers

 

Twice a year the Garden Club hosts a luncheon, one in December and one in June

 

The Tours Committee provides several opportunity each year to enjoy trips to various venues.

 

2015-2016 tours included Myrtle Creek Botanical Gardens, Rose Parade Floats, and Huntington Library

 

 

  The Garden Club is a major supporter of We Care. We Care of Los Alamitos is a family support center and safety net program that pools community resources to meet the emergency needs of families and individuals. Each month we encourage our members to donate non-perishable food items at our monthly meetings. These donations are gathered by our We Care volunteers and transported to the We Care food pantry. Personal toiletry items, clothes, and cash donations are also accepted.
