Paws, Claws & Beaks where L. W. "Pet Owners" connect and help one another with support and knowledge for their pets.
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS FOR L. W. PETS
The Paws, Claws, and Beaks Club is a club of LW Residents who own pets and love animals. We know that emergencies are unpredictable and do not always happen during standard hours.
Volunteers are needed to help with pet admission, release, feeding, clean up and comforting pets.
In the event of an emergency, and you cannot care for your pet in your home, the gathering place will be in the NORTH PARKING LOT of CH2. Please bring the following items with you.
A carrier or crate and towel or small bed for your pet to sleep.
A copy of your pet’s license and shot / medical records, along with medication and directions for administration. This should be attached to the outside of your pet’s carrier or crate.
Food, water, favorite toys, leash
pictures of your pet with you in it
Please consider helping us. Volunteers are needed and encouraged to participate in this effort. WE ARE ON OUR OWN.
PET NETWORKING AND SUPPORT
- Picnics with dogs and birds for ALL pet owners and community socialization
- L. W. pet owner help and support for LW residents with cats, dogs and birds.
- Support local “NONPROFIT ANIMAL GROUPS”
- Work with “Boots on The Ground” and the “Emergency Information Council” for the protection of our pets.
- Preparedness drill twice a year in accordance with BOTG team with 2 radio preps in March and Sept before the drills
- New pet owners and volunteers are welcome to join us.
